How do I change the hostname of my VPS?

Issue#

You want to change the hostname of your VPS, the panel does not allow you to make this change, and when your VPS restarts the default hostname is restored.

Cause#

The hostname of the VPS is injected by our hypervisor and the panel does not currently allow you to change this hostname.

Solution#

You can change your hostname from the management panel of your VPS, in the VM Details tab:
