PHP version support#
Our Plesk WEB hosting range (WEB-5, WEB-25 and EDU-5 plans) currently supports the following PHP versions:
- PHP 7.4 (extended support with TuxCare ELS)
- PHP 8.0 (extended support with TuxCare ELS)
- PHP 8.1
- PHP 8.2
- PHP 8.3
- PHP 8.4
How long are PHP versions available?#
The PHP project defines its own support schedule, available on the page of officially supported versions. This schedule is distinct from the maintenance provided on our hosting.
At PulseHeberg, we rely on TuxCare ELS to provide security patches for all the PHP versions offered, including beyond their official end of life. Their availability remains linked to the versions supported on your hosting.
What does the "Obsolete" mention in Plesk mean?#
This mention may indicate that a version has reached the end of its official support by the PHP project. It is not enough to conclude that a version maintained with TuxCare ELS no longer receives security patches.
Nevertheless, prepare your site's compatibility with a recent PHP version. To find out about the planned maintenance or removal of a version on your hosting, contact our support.

New PHP version?#
We do everything we can to support new PHP versions as early as possible. As a general rule, this takes a few weeks after the release of the new PHP version. In some rare situations (technical incompatibility related to Plesk, for example), the new version may not be immediately available across our entire infrastructure. In this situation, you can contact our support, who can study with you the possibilities for you to benefit from the new PHP version.
