SSH access has been available on our hosting plans since February 1, 2023. It lets you run scripts and execute commands on your web hosting from a console.
Connecting to the hosting server via SSH#
SSH connection is only possible from the Plesk panel. See the connection procedure to access it.
Features available from SSH access#
SSH access lets you, among other things:
- Manage your hosting files: copy, delete, move, etc.
- Run PHP scripts.
- Use Composer.
- Run Git commands.
Available PHP versions#
To run a script with the PHP version of your choice, use the corresponding command:
PHP 7.4 and PHP 8.5 will also be available.

Replace [SCRIPT] with the path to the PHP file to run.
Using Composer with a specific PHP version#
To choose the PHP version used by Composer, specify the path to the PHP executable before the Composer path:
/opt/alt/phpXY/usr/bin/php /usr/lib/plesk-9.0/composer.phar [options] [arguments]Replace XY with the desired version, without a dot. For example, to install a project's dependencies with PHP 8.4, run this command from the project folder:
/opt/alt/php84/usr/bin/php /usr/lib/plesk-9.0/composer.phar install
