PND Datacenter migration
Following an incident on the Nanterre (PND) datacenter, we have undertaken to close this datacenter and migrate all the infrastructures hosted on it to our Paris (PAR) and Nice (NCE) datacenters.
This operation has been carried out since the beginning of 2023 and should continue until mid-April.
Q: When will I be informed of the migration of my VPS?
A: You will receive a first email informing you of the upcoming launch of the migration procedure. A second email will be sent to you just at the beginning of the migration of your VPS and a last email will confirm the end of the migration operation.
It can sometimes take several days between the initial notification and the start of the migration of your VPS depending on the data volume to be migrated.
Q: In which datacenter will I be migrated?
A: The first email informing you of the start of the migration operation indicates the location where your VPS will be moved.
Q: Am I at risk of losing data?
A: No, you are not at risk of losing any data during the operation.
Q: Will the snapshots I created be deleted?
A: The snapshots will be deleted during the disk migration operation.
Q: Will the firewall rules of my VPS be deleted?
A: Yes, it will be necessary to recreate the firewall rules at the end of the migration.
Q: What is the duration of the VPS outage during the operation?
A: The VPS will only undergo a restart from the old datacenter to the new one. The operation takes only a few moments, the time it takes for your VPS to start up.
Q: I have a PRA on the datacenter where my VPS will be migrated, is it possible to request to be migrated elsewhere?
A: On a case-by-case basis, we can migrate your VPS to another datacenter if you already have a VPS for PRA on the destination datacenter. Do not hesitate to contact our support team as soon as possible so that we can see what can be done.
Q: I have another question, where can I ask it?
A: Our team is always available by support ticket or chat from your customer area. Do not hesitate to contact us if necessary.
